Flying by!

We finally decided on our Nursery furniture! The pieces arrived Christmas Eve and we managed to wait until December 26 to put it all together. It took all day, but Markus and I were so excited. I love the furniture and the bedding! The nursery furniture, my big belly, and Baby Whitworth wanting to play at night is making all this feel real!
The picture in the gray dress is 29 weeks and the picture in the pink shirt is 30 weeks! I passed my glucose test and now visiting the doctor every 2 weeks.

Week 27!

At my regular appointment on Wednesday, the doctor told me I would start going every 2 weeks now! My eyes filled with tears for several reasons: this is going by so fast, we'll meet our little baby soon, and o crap: DELIVERY! But I composed myself, this was an important appointment: the glucose test. I almost fainted, which hopefully doesn't mean I failed. I really need sweets in my life. I should hear my results one day next week.

Below is a picture from the night I went to see the Radio City Music Hall Rockettes at the FOX. Hopefully you can see the bump. Little Baby Whitworth kicks and dances alot now. And, I love it!

Nursey AFTER

We looked around for a crib and dresser this weekend, but came home empty handed. Maybe I'm too picky...

Nursery BEFORE

Belly Shot at Week 24:

Markus and I worked on the nursery for the last few weeks. We replaced the green carpet with hardwood floors and painted the walls green & white. We plan to add a border and curtains.

Of course the girls helped too!

Half-Way There - New photos and an update

I'm officially half-way today - 20 weeks - 5 full months!
I can't believe how fast it is going by!

Last week Markus and I got to see Baby Whitworth again! He/she showed off a beautiful arm and wiggled around a bit for us. The doctor said he/she is 10 ounces. I feel my sweet little baby move so often these days and we've even seen the movement in my tummy. It's very amazing! I love when he/she pokes at me when I'm sitting at a red light or reading an email as if to say "hey, don't forget I'm in here!"

A few weeks ago, my mom and dad came to help us clean out the study that we are making the nursery. We were so thankful for all their help, because now we can start working. We are painting that room and putting in hardwood floors. So much to do! I'm pretty sure I'm decorating with black/white/green. If it's a girl, we'll throw in some pink and if it's a boy, we'll continue with green.

Today, I finally broke down and went shopping. I hit the mall with my sister-in-law Julie and mother-in-law Debbie. My regular pants are so uncomfortable in the waist I had to look for some baby bump friendly pants.

Great Saturday - 1st UGA game, Smoked BBQ, Brunswick Stew, Home with the Girls and Markus!

Happy Saturday! Go Dawgs!
I went to my 14.5 week appointment on Wednesday. I heard the heartbeat again. The doctor said it was very strong and in the 140s for those of you who want to guess the gender. My next appointment will be the fun one when we can finally see our sweet Baby again. Still no weight gain, but thank goodness my appetite is back! No more nausea or queeziness, but I'm so tired. Morning, noon, and night. No crazy cravings yet. However, I do enjoy a bowl of cold pickles almost every day after work. I've also started drinking tons of water, but it's gotta have lemon in it. I really thought I was feeling the baby already, but the doctor said it was probably my stomach stretching or gas bubbles. :)

Welcome to our page!

Markus and I want to welcome you to our page! Follow along with us! We'll keep you updated as we're getting ready to make our first addition to our family. We are 3 and 1/2 months pregnant and very excited! We aren't finding out what we're having, so we can't wait for the BIG surprise on February 27, 2010.

Here's how we found out: Markus and I were at the lakehouse for Fathers' Day weekend. Just the two of us. I had a hunch and a few symptoms, so we took a pregnancy test with us. On Sunday morning, Markus said, "Good morning baby, want to take the test?" So we did--first thing that morning. I was too anxious and walked away from the test. Markus kept staring at it. Of course I was thinking, "what if I am?" After about 3 minutes, Markus asked if we were looking for a pink vertical line. Of course I didn't know! I had gotten the test from a girlfriend at work and it didn't include instructions because it was a hospital test, they don't need instructions. Time for GOOGLE. For the next 10 minutes, we were staring at tests on the internet and finally determined we were having a baby!

Below is a photo of week 5 (yellow shirt) and week 10 (white shirt).
